Description
This tour is recommended for lovers of ecotourism and hiking.
On this tour we will go on a five-six-hour walk along the foot
of the Osorno volcano, to the Vicente Perez Rosales National
Park.
The tour starts with the city of Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas, depending on your hotel location. Along the coast of Lake Llanquihue, the second largest lake of Chile, we will go to the foot of the Osorno volcano, reach Todos los Santos Lake, and go on a walk from there. The path leads to the slope of the volcano, passing through the young forest along Todos los Santos Lake. Having risen to a height of 700 meters, we will see a panoramic view of the lake, the island of Margarita, Tronador and Puntiagudo volcanoes. Then we will start to climb down to the lake along the canyon, through which the melting glacier water from the volcano fills the lake. On the shore we'll have some time to rest; then we will head for the parking lot along the beach and return to Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt.
* It's recommended to bring a small backpack, water, jacket, protective suncream, sunglasses, hat, shoes or trekking boots.
